Max sure had fun teasing everyone about the good news. The first post was on a weekend (which caught everyone off guard), and then the second post had a hidden message in it! Whoever was made in charge of the social media promo knew how to engage us fans.

And then we finally(!) got a teaser trailer on Wednesday! If you haven’t seen it yet (or want to again):

We also got the first official S2 poster, and premiere date, and tagline!

Warner Brothers Discovery (parent company of Max) released a press release about the episode schedule:

Our information seems to have been correct about an 8-episode season. It looks like the last week will be just one episode – perhaps they’ll gift us with a slightly longer one.

The October 5 premiere date, by the way, does seem to be worldwide as far as we can tell. Which means Oceania has had to fudge their airdates a little bit so everyone is aligned. We may have gaps of a few hours between time zones, but assuming your country has a distributor (like the BBC), nobody outside the US is going to have to wait months to see it, like last time! This is great news for fans.

Cast & crew sadly couldn’t celebrate the teaser release with us, but they were there in their own way. Writer Alex Sherman posted about a completely unrelated(!) trip to a lighthouse to Instagram, and Samba wrote a quick statement in an Instagram story:
