Here we are, crew – another week gone. It was much quieter this week, but we still keep getting behind-the-scenes (BTS) photos from crew members! Check out below what happened in the fandom this week.
⚠️ Please note that we are no longer hiding spoilers from any episode of S2. ⚠️
October 30
We started the week with a little BTS…
This gentleman is “Bloodbucket Bill” – from 2×07. (You might recognize him better with glasses.)
And after weeks of asking, Max added OFMD avatars!
We got some interaction from writer Simone Nathan about Archie’s vest.
Wendy, an extra from the Red Flag crew, shared some of her experience on set.
October 31 🎃
For Halloween, Max shared the “costumes” for all the cast members. You can see the full thread below, or on in our gallery here.
Alex shared some BTS from the Stede Bunnet scene – and yes, he knows the fandom calls the bunny “Stede Bunnet.” (Be warned, bunny guts in that Twitter link. Though he does confirm that it’s made from vegetable product.)
Some folks recognized this extra as Paul Williams, assistant on the New Zealand edition of “Taskmaster.” (He’s also the husband of writer Simone Nathan!)
Jenkins blessed everyone with this very adorable rat, who…
…Samba revealed during a baking class in May that they’d tried to hire for S2, but it didn’t work out…
Per Samba, they had a rat on set for Season 2, a trained rat, but he didn't do his job so he got fired

November 1
Alex was very proud of his brief screentime – not only as a butt, but as a British soldier. We got some BTS from that time, including…
…a very memorable pose of Alex in his uniform. Check out the quote tweets on this!
November 2
Sigh.
Tumblr did some photoshoots and interviews with attendees of NYCC last month, including the six cast members from OFMD. We got some new content for Rhys and Vico this week – still waiting to see if they did stuff with Con, Nathan, Kristian, and/or Matt. You can see everything submitted to the “NYCC Yearbook” on Tumblr here.
HBO/Max held its 2024 slate presentation, and CEO Casey Bloys commented on OFMD. You can read more at this article. Don’t hold your breath for more OFMD in 2024 – Meghan gives us the list of 2024 content later in that thread, and it does not include OFMD. This makes sense – even if OFMD S3 got greenlight today, they would still have to write, cast (assuming the strike is over), film, edit… That all took about a year for S2, so we likely won’t see S3 – if we do see a S3 – until 2025 at the earliest.
We got some more BTS from a leather-maker on Instagram.
November 3
We were happy to hear from Jenks again. The finale was rough for a lot of the fandom, and there has been a lot of anger directed at the writers and crew. At the end of the day, we love that they brought this series to life for us, and we appreciate the hard work they put into a series they thought we would all enjoy.
We got another look at Rhys’ merman outfit.
November 4
Believe it or not, that first picture is not Rhys (per a comment from Alex on this thread).
Set decorator Lindsey Cantrell gave us some great BTS. (The patchwork! So beautiful!)
November 5
Samba gives the fans so much good info in his Cameo videos…
